Description

Route Setting including WAH and rescue

This two-day course includes subjects such as: route setting good practice, creative process, hold attachment, rescues, rope-work, WAH Regulations, LOLER & PUWER considerations, ladder use, equipment, tools, and more.

The course is intended for climbers who have a basic level of rope-work skills, can lead climb and belay, with the ability to climb F6b indoors. The course is also appropriate for designated route setter rescuers.  This course includes all necessary equipment for setting and working at height.

This course is valid for CPD points for MTA and AMI members.

MTA CPD Points: 2.  (Log in to MT CMS, go to your "Accounts and Settings" page, click the CPD tab.  Click the "Add CPD" button, choose the category "Any - Route Setting Workshop (full day)" and add the details for day 1, add the same again for day 2.)

AMI CPD Points: 2

Prerequisites

You will need to have at least one year's experience of climbing and be able to climb 6b as a minimum requirement.

You will need to be fit and healthy as this course has practical elements that mean long periods working at height carrying out significantly arduous tasks.
